On November 4, 2006 John suffered a Grand Mal seizure after watching a football game at a friends house. Six weeks later John learned that he had a brain tumor. He underwent a biopsy that revealed the tumor was an Astrocytoma, a type of brain cancer.  After a courageous 2 year battle fighting the disease, John passed away on February 6, 2009.
