Donetta Eichler, age 66, of Idaho Falls, passed away at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, Tuesday, August 29, 2017.

Donetta was born April 16, 1951 in Rexburg, Idaho a daughter of Verd E. Mortensen and Donna Parkinson Mortensen. She attended schools in Sugar Salem graduating from Sugar Salem High School in 1969.  She attended dental hygienist school in California.  She worked as a day manager for Rexburg Opinion Center, as secretary of at the BLM in Rexburg, and as agriculture secretary for the ASCS in Rexburg.

She enjoyed playing pool and competed on leagues in Idaho Falls. She loved crafts, quilting, grandkids, fishing, camping and being in the outdoors.

She is survived by two daughters: Lisa Marie (Gordon) North of Rexburg, and Kristine (Riley) Lockyer of Idaho Falls, three sons: Faron L. (Jamie) Young of Rigby, Erik Earl (Kira) Young of Idaho Falls, and Scott Lloyd (Jacquline) Young of Pocatello, a sister Gaylene Smith of Rexburg, five brothers: Verlin James (Orena) Mortensen of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kenneth Leon (Nancy) Mortensen of Layton, Utah, Darwin Earl (Janeal) Mortensen of Shelley, Duane J. (Terri) Mortensen of Jerome, Idaho and Troy Leland (Amy) Mortensen of Jerome, Idaho, and twelve grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 2, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Rigby 15th Ward LDS Chapel, 602 Sundance Drive, Rigby, Idaho.  The family will visit with friends on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main ST. Rigby, and on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.  Burial will be in the Sugar City Cemetery.
