The Summer after graduation some old friends told me about how Jesus could change my life. I thought about it and in August of 1981 I accepted Jesus as my savior. That night I met Karen Schafer, and in a few weeks I joined the Army spending time in Oklahoma and Kentucky. A year later Karen and I married, Ariel was born July 13, 1984. After graduating from college in 1988, we moved from Springfield, MO to Portland, OR and Emily and Micah were born in 1990 and 1993. Ariel is in High School, and the other two in elementary, and I work in marketing at a phone company that also sells Internet access. Much of our time is spent racing between girls choir, soccer, baseball, piano lessons and helping at church, while making our home in Portland, OR. Scott
