I graduated from Central Washington University in 1984 with a degree in Recreation Therapy. I moved to Seattle in 1985, where I stayed for about 13 years. During that time, I worked as a recreation therapist, teacher, and caregiver for adults with disabilities at various group homes. I also went back to school at Seattle Pacific University and received my elementary education certificate in 1991. I took a break in 1993 and lived in Honolulu, Hawaii for 6 months and attended graduate school there! In 1997 I moved back to Sunnyside, updated my teaching certificate and in 1998 began teaching. I teach elementary special education in Toppenish. Last year, I bought my first home, on 'the hill' in Sunnyside. I keep busy now with gardening and home improvement! I am aslo the Christian Education Director for my church. I am enjoying getting to know the valley again.
