Tim and I were married January of my senior year. The summer after graduation, we moved to Oroville, Wa. where Tim grew up. Beautiful country.... but we didn't stay long.... we ended up in Moses Lake for a year. Kevin, our first son was born there. Right after he was born, I was homesick so we moved back to Sunnyside. I got a job with the school district as a para pro and worked for 2 years. I decided then that I wanted to be the teacher, not the "teacher's helper" so I went to YVCC and got my AA, Heritage College and got my BA, then was hired on by Sunnyside School District as a teacher. About four years later, I earned my MA through Walden Univesity. I have taught first through fourth grades and currently teach 4th at Washington Elementary. Tim and I celebrated our 20th anniversary the beginning of 2009!! Our three children are attending Sunnyside Schools. I have enjoyed seeing things change and used the phrase "when I went to school there...." more than a few times with them. Time flies, it is hard to believe it has been 20 years ago since life changed. I have fond memories of school here in Sunnyside and my classmates.
