Mark passed away unexpectedly at his home in Brooklyn,  New York where he lived for the past 12 years. He was 42 years old.

 

He grew up in Sunnyvale and graduated from Fremont High School. Mark was preceded in death by his father Philip Basilin. He leaves behind his mother Donna Basilin of Morgan Hill, his sisters Maribeth Brewer of Morgan Hill, Sandra Hosler of Littleton, Co. and his brother John Basilin of San Jose. He also leaves behind 5 nieces and 1 nephew. Mark was an extremely talented musician, avid reader, and artist. Mark had a kind heart and always saw the good in everything. Mark will be deeply missed.
