I remember when we became great friends in the 6th grade in Mrs. Taylor's class at Sutton.  We would do our work quickly so we could read Nancy Drew books or draw maps of imaginary places.  We practiced for the 4H talent show over the phone...one of us would hold the phone to our ear while the other listened and played along, you on the clarinet and me on the flute. (We played "King Arthur's Court" and "Beth") We were twins of sorts...both born on the exact same day to mothers who both taught English at the high school.  We were always friendly competitors in academics...you finished number one in the class, and I was number two.  I still miss you my friend.  I am a better person for having known you.

you were my BEST friend way before we ever started school! we were never exactly on the same course but we were always together. you kept me in line while i showed you a little out of the box LOL. you were there when i got my heart broke for the first time. we played with a widgee board one night and thought it was so wrong, but only time would tell that you had a special connection to the world above. you were there when i had my first son. i still have the pic you took of the red rose in the middle of the woods and said it reminded you of me. you had more faith in me at that time than i had in myself. you were always my friend and by my side no matter what happened in my life. i truly wish my sons could have known you. you seem to pop up in lmy thoughts, if i am riding thru the mountians, taking pics of the wilderness or sitting at a tree swing. i love you for what i became because you were my friend. never will you be forgotten. every candle i lite makes me think of you. I miss you!!
