Tony Wade Riffle, 23, of Berlington, NC, passed away Thursday, April 11, 1996, at United Hospital Center, Chapel Hill, NC, after a short illness.   He was born May 18, 1972, in Weston, WV, a son of Gene M. Riffle of Copen, WV, and Rosemarie Morgan of Parkersburg, WV.  He was an inspector for A.O. Smith Company in Burglington, NC, and he graduated from Braxton County High School in 1990.

He is survived by one brother, Gene M. Riffle Jr. of Huntington, WV; one sister, Monica J. Sponsler of Parkersburg, WV; one half sister, Sherry McDonald of Baltimore, MD; stepfather Dick Morgan of Parkersburg, WV; stepmother, Peggy A. Riffle of Copen, WV; three stepsisters, Glenna Stephenson of Huntington, WV, Jenny Singleton of Burnsville, WV, and Sue Singleton of Sutton, WV; two stepbrothers, BIll Singleton of Gassaway, WV, and Larry Singleton of Copen, WV; paternal grandmother Sadie Barker of Copen, WV; maternal grandmother, Theresa Arcadia of Florida; 11 aunts and uncles on the mother's side and 10 aunts and uncles on the father's side.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 15, 1996, at the Stockert-Gibson Funeral Home, Flatwoods, with Rev. Darrell Ramsey officiating.  Burial was in Copen Cemetery, Copen.
