I remember one year, around 1990, hanging out with friends at a bar in the Swansea Mall (the name of the bar eludes me) and running into Stephen. He joined us in getting our drunks on and we all ended up at The Brass Rail in Seekonk. It wasn't the last time I was part of a group that included Stephen and we were drinking. He was great fun during these times. Amazingly friendly with everybody around. He knew them all, and if he didn't, he got to.
I remember Steve. In fact I was looking through some old photos yesterday and I found one from I think the 7th grade trip to Washington. I didn't go on that trip but I ended up with a photo. Steve was standing on the top step in the photo. It made me stop and remember him for a moment. He was a good kid. I was very saddened when I heard of his tragic death. Again, someone taken way too young. May Steve rest in peace.
Steve, even en absentia you can make folks laugh. Your memory made it to the reunion and was a welcome part of the festivities. We haven't forgotten you or your wonderful humor.
