Mike Costello enlisted in the Navy after graduating from Troy High School. After his tour of duty ended, he returned to Troy, married, and had children. He served as President of the Troy Board of Education for several years and succeeded in effecting considerable change. He died of cancer, according to Frank Rinaldi, Mike’s very good friend in high school.
