Christopher Wayne Richmond died on February 2nd, 1989, at the age of 18.

It was a tremendous loss for so many of us.

Chris was the beloved son of Fred and Lily Richmond, and the beloved brother of Carey Richmond (Hawkins).

Chris did not go to Foss High School, he attended Wilson High School where he was active in Student Government, serving as a class officer, he was an honor student, and he had been accepted to WSU's pre-med program.

Chris was also an athlete; he was co-captain of his cross country team and was a state qualifier, he was a two year letterman, an inspirational award winner, and he was team captain of his track and field team for two years.

Though he did not go to school with us, he had many friends at Foss. Chris was an amazing person, always happy and smiling, willing to help anyone out with anything they needed. He was funny, and warm, and smart, and overall just a beautiful person. He was well respected among his peers and his elders, and he was well loved by so many of us, myself included.

Chris has been, and is, deeply missed by everyone that has known him. Not a day goes by that I myself do not think of him, as I know his family does. The Richmond family has been, and always will be, very proud of who Chris was - not just as a son and a brother - but as a person.

I am indeed humbled and yet very honored to memorialize him, and although Chris will be missed today, and every day, he will live forever in our memories and our hearts.

"But we'll keep you close as always, it won't even seem you've gone. Cause our hearts, in big and small ways, will keep the love that keeps us strong. And friends are friends forever if the Lord's the Lord of them, and a friend will not say never, cause the welcome will not end. Though it's hard to let you go, in the Father's hands we know, that a lifetime's not too long to live as friends..." Michael W Smith

Sleep peacefully Chris.

We will never forget you.
