Nov. 15, 1970- Nov. 9, 2006 A much loved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to so many, Russell passed away unexpectedly on November 9, 2006. He was a lifelong resident of Tacoma who loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He was a member of the Tacoma Elks Club and a long-time bowler at Pacific Lanes. For the past 8 years, he was employed with Aaberg’s Equipment Rental. Russell was preceded in death by his father Ronald and his brother Raymond. He is survived by his mother and step-father Barbara and Melvin Smith, his sisters Angie Orr (Rick), Andrea Winkel (Steve) and Vicki Smith, his brothers Ron and Bob (Jodi), and his best friend Rose. He will be forever in our hearts. Viewing is Wednesday, November 15 from 4 - 7PM with recitation of the Rosary at 6:30PM and funeral services Thursday, November 16 at 11AM, both at Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel, 1002 S. Yakima.
