Megan Gelman

Megan Stephanie Gelman
Came into this world on May 27, 1970 as the daughter of Herbert and Barbara Gelman and passed away suddenly on August 13, 2005. She attended Washington High School and Pierce College before going to work in her father’s law firm then on to joining partnership with her close companion, Patrick Schreieck, in their own company MP Mortgage. God gave Megan many talents. A quick wit, a happy, spontaneous, talkative personality, and a love of her financial business. She also had an ability to make everyone feel at ease and treated everyone she met equally. She could make you laugh when first meeting her. She loved buying and decorating her first home. She especially enjoyed traveling to Israel with her parents and the Tacoma Sister-city group in 1998. She loved skiing, riding bikes with her nephews and music, especially jazz. She loved her family dearly, her nieces, nephews and special friend, Lindsay Stixrud. Although she was taken too soon, she enjoyed life to the fullest and will be remembered for her generous, unconditional nature. Besides her parents, she is survived by her siblings, Mark Gelman (Susie), their children, Lauren, Kristin and Gretchen, Dana Gelman (Marie Killmer) and Sarah Gelman-Simmons (Gage), their children Chase and Connor and a large extended family. Private services for friends and family will be held in the sanctuary of Temple Beth El at 6:00 p.m. August 17, 5975 South 12th Street, 253-564-7101. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Temple Beth El Education Fund.

This is the first I've heard of Megan's passing and I literally sit here in shock. Megan was a good friend. I will always remember her quirkiness and easy smile. Walk easy my friend...you are deeply missed.
