When I came to Wilson from New Orleans in 1959 for my junior year, Gary was one of the first people who made me feel welcome and  we became good friends. He and Skip Post were instumental in introducing me to many with whom I later became  friends. I especially remember racing around in his convertible in the summer time, and playing sports and doube dating etc. I remember the many afternoons when we played  basketball in his driveway and the many bruises I noticed on my body  afterwards. Although I left the Northwest after college, we stayed in touch and spoke by phone frequently regarding legal stuff related to our profession.  I spent some time with him in Seattle after the last reunion and we had a great time discussing our lives and our classmates and friends.

Gary was a unique individual with an incredible sense of humor and he made a differance in my life in those early years and I have often thought about him since his death.  I wish I  had been able to go to his funeral and say goodbye but I do so now by these comments. Rest in peace Gary.

Dear Jim.....Such nice sentiments about Gary.  I agree with you that he was an incredible person who added so much to our lives.  Gary always made me laugh.......what a great creative sense of humor.  I have vivid memories of times spent with him and they continue to bring me joy.  RIP Gary, with love and admiration, Marlene Feinholz (Belcher)

I knew Gary from early grade school thru high school.  He was a person who even at an early age who  always was on a "high" and

making one feel so good, even though the day had been a tough one. He had a contagious sense of humor, and who could forget his laugh. (?)

I remember so many good experiences with him  from roller skating in junior high school to experiences in high school.......he was one of a kind.!

In later life,  he was also my lawyer.....and at times it was hard to believe that he was this intelligent person with all this legal knowledge and still the friend that I'd grown up with & loved.

He's greatly missed....for so many reasons.   We'll all remember Gary.
