We have purchased a full page ad for the class of 1958 in the SASAA-Canada fundraising and reunion for 2009 souvenir programme, courtesy of our classmates Cetong and Delia Batac. Thank you Cetong and Delia.

RE: SAS Class 1958 full page AD/Toronto SASAA Canada Chapter Reunion

We just got back from The Toronto Reunion. From all indications, the numerous activities and events prepared by the Organizers led by Seny Maala lopez, the Reunion/Scholarship was to my view a great success. Everything was well planned and well executed - from hotel accomodations, city tour & sight seeings, cruises to the welcome party(friday),saturday gala night started with anticipated mass, blessing of Family Trees, and of course - programs started with the singing of the anthems(the U.S led by yours truly - class'58 contribution, dancing galore and in between - coronation of the muses, speeches of 'dignitaries', funny skits and picnics(food galore and funny games). Our class '58 attendees were presented to the assembly and the general comment was " how come they looked so much younger and good looking than the younger batches presented?". There were 6 of us - Cetong, Delia, Lolit(Sam), Marge, Fred(Cynthia) and me(Emilie). Of all people, Conching didnot show up despite my numerous pleadings to her brother Joseph who was one of the officers. Oh well. we had good bonding, to say the least. Our lunch meeting at Marge residence was nice and we had quality time recalling the Jubilee in Tagudin last December.I took some few pictures which I intend to send to you this days. Hope everything is fine with you and Grace. Till next mail, my friend and brother.

Dear Classmates,

I am so thrilled to hear you all had a great time while at the SASAA-Toronto reunion. Seny Maala and her fellow organizers deserve all the credit to be sure.

So sad to hear about Conching Lamorena not wanting to associate with all of SAS Class 1958. Perhaps she is not well. Let us pray for her health and safety.

Now that the SASAA-Canada reunion is over, maybe now we can direct our focus to our own Class 1958 business and get together for the year. I know this year is probably out of the question for Cetong and Delia since they have promised to take care of their grandkids. But let us see what we can salvage from whatever time remaining that we have of 2009.

Thank you for taking time to post this report my good friend. I believe that all of us ought to come in here and write in our thoughts and input for all to see.

Blessings,

Your Classmate,

Tom B
