CAMERON, Steven Darrell, 48, of Lakeland, Fla., entered the gates of heaven March 26, 2010, in Bartow, Fla., surrounded by his family. After a courageous battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, he is at peace and celebrating in the presence of the Lord. He was born December 19, 1961, in St. Petersburg, Fla. Steve is survived and loved by his girls, Caitlin, Sarah, and Samantha; step-children, Clayton and Kayla Moore; his dad and mom, Ray and Betty; sisters, Debbie Bloemsma and Valerie (Steve) Guillen; brother, Ray (Clanell) Cameron, thirteen nieces and nephews; and his lovable Labrador, Tucker. He was a 1980 graduate of Chamberlain High School and an electrician and instrumentation technician with Mosaic Fertilizer. He deeply appreciated his
co-workers and numerous friends who added so much to his life. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the ALS Foundation, Tampa Chapter, 3242 Parkside Center Circle, Tampa, FL 33619-0907, in Steve' s memory, to help those who are still battling this disease. Steve enjoyed life daily, even when it was difficult and laughed that he put the "fun" in dysfunctional. A service honoring Steve' s life will take place at 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, at Tampa Covenant Church, 13320 Lake Magdalene Blvd. Friends are invited to gather immediately after the service in the fellowship hall.
