Kevin lived in Northdale while in High School and worked at the JCPenney Credit Building on Northdale Blvd. and N. Dale Mabry Highway. I'm not sure what he died of. But I knew people that worked with him and they shared the news quite a few years ago. He was alot of fun and had a great smile. A very nice person and a great heart. Andrea Gerheauser (Smith)

Kevin Alan Copeland went to be with the Lord Sunday, October 10, 1999.A Memorial Service was held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, October 14 in the Funeral Home Chapel.Mr. Copeland was born in Ft. Lauderdale and had lived in Tampa for 25 years.He was a graduate of Chamberlain High School and the University of South Florida.Kevin was Operations Manager for J. C. Penney Customer Service. Mr. Copeland was the grandson of the late Mose Frank Copeland of Gadsden and great grandson of Milton Wiley Copeland, a pioneer citizen of Etowah County who lived in the Boyce Community of Lookout Mountain.

Kevin was my best friend through high school and USF. We kept in touch when i moved to Miami, and as you can imagine i was shocked when his sister called me one day when kevin suddenly passed away without warning of a heart condition. you have been missed my friend. MattRobert Menendez
