I had no idea Joe passed away. I was just thinking about him a few days ago and wondering why he wasn’t on facebook. Now I know. Some of my great memories in south Tampa was with Joe and his late brother Pete. My musical career began with him. We’d jammed on the weekends at Ballast Point. I remember his dad being so supportive. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be playing bass in metal bands. You see, one summer break, he’d took guitar lessons and when we got back to school. He’d just destroyed me on the guitar. So, I decided to play bass. He was an extremely fast learner and I admire him for that, and a little jealous. I want to thank you Joe for your friendship back in school and being a major influence on me. My belated condolences to the Barone family.
