Rosalynn Rose Rivas, 22, passed away August 5, 2008.  She is survived by her parents, Rene & Sarah Rivas; sisters, Renee and Reghan; grandparents, Sam & Josephine Agliano, and Nellie Silva; great aunt, Rose Barus; aunts and uncles, Frank Agliano, David & Jana Agliano, Rosie French, Rick & Vicki Rivas, Debra & Shannon Newman, Junior & Lisa Salas.

In May 2008 she graduated from the University of Florida where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority. Rosalynn was a 2004 graduate of H.B. Plant High School where she was a Hispanic Honor Scholar, a National Merit Finalist, and member of the Dancero Dance Team, National Honor Society, Beta Club, I Dare You, Latin Club, and La Sertoa. After being diagnosed with a brain tumor in November 2006, she was able to continue her education at UF the following summer. During UF's 2007 American Cancer Society event Rosalynn was one of the top fundraisers for Relay for Life. Thanks to her college roommates, Katie Meehan, Kim Mathews, and Ashley Mason, and the support of her Pi Beta Phi Sorority sisters, Rosalynn was able to graduate in May 2008.
