Alvin Luzier, 53, died June 20, 2009. He was born February 1, 1956. He worked for the Directorate of Combat Developments at Fort Rucker, and retired after 22 years of service from the U.S. Army as a sergeant first class, and was a Vietnam veteran. He was employed with Civil Service for 10 years in Directorate Combat Development at Fort Rucker.  He was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

HHe was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Luzier.

He is survived by his wife, Carie Luzier; a son, Juston Luzier of Daleville; two daughters, Melissa O'Connor (James) of Savannah, GA, and Alicia Meeks (Jeremy) of Enterprise; his mother, Renate Luzier of Charleston, SC; a sister, Gwen Luzier of Charleston, SC; two brothers, Bruce Luzier of Charleston, SC, and Charles Luzier of Baton Rouge, LA; and a grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Luzier. Interment was at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL with arrangements by Searcy Funeral Home.
