Wow! This is really unbelievable! I really wish this wasn't true! What can I say? Us girls really liked him!! He was always so sweet and funny! Cute is not the right word for him...I like the word that Stacie G. used... YUMMY!!! He really was! He'd get you with those eyes!!! And then when he burled his head onto my shoulder, I would just melt!!! Not only did us girls care for him, I know and watched how he was friends with the boys!!! He was such a good guy!!! I will truly miss him now that I know I will never ever have the opportunity to ever see him again!!! I certainly hope that he graces his beauty with all souls up in heaven...LOVE YOU BILLY! :(

I am very sad to hear about Billy's passing. He was such an adorable guy, so cute, sweet, loving, warm, and yes, "YUMMY" (that is just the perfect word for that sweet smile and beautiful eyes!). I am so sorry to his family, and I only hope they know how much he was loved and will be missed by everyone!! I know heaven is a happier place with Billy there!!!

Billy Owens was one of my closet friends. Even after he moved to Santa Monica we would spend weekends together at his apartment there. He was my prom date at Taft. The last time I saw Billy was in 1987 and he was working as a waiter at Catch 21 in Encino. There was not a sweeter guy than Billy. I know that his life had taken a strange turn and it's very sad. I know that we will all miss his gorgeous blue eyes and the great big grin he always seemed to have.

Those eyes...so amazing & beautiful! Never seen anything like them since. Billy was my boyfriend for a short time but what wonderful memories! A hard act to follow...I recall he broke up with me because he found out I had chickenpox! I was crushed..first heartbreak, but I will always remember you, Billy. You were the best & I am so devastated to be reminded of your passing as we all are..
Still love you! xxxooo

This is so unbelievably sad!!!. I was very much hoping that it wasn't true. Billy was such a huge part of my years at Portola and I wouldn't trade the time that I spent with him . As everyone has mentioned, THOSE EYES!!! He was one of the sweetest guys I have ever known. He will be incredibly missed!

Hug people you love tight because you never know.
Reading his passing gave me much sadness because he was real!!!!!!!!!!

I'm with the girls on the whole "crush" thing. Who didn't have a crush on him! I had a party at my house and the back room was the "make-out" room. I remember Billy and somebody going in there and this whole line of girls all having a sad look in their eyes! lol. Such a sweet guy. Very sorry to hear of his passing. I think he was one of the people I most looked forward to seeing again at a reunion (now that I know there IS one). Blessings to his family.
