I caught up with Joe in the early 2000s while he was living in Florida. He had lived there for many years. Joe had numerous small businesses througout his life but also had many health issues. I spoke with him occasionally for the next few years and on the last call he told me had moved to California and was in declinning health. Not long after that he passed away from heart issues. I'll always remember Joe's 1957 Ford ex taxi which we took many times up to Orangeburg on the Palisades Parkway.
