Kaylien Yvonne "Love" Develrow, 44, beloved mother and sister, entered rest Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, following an extended illness.
Celebration of life: 1 p.m. Monday at Baker Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 1050 E. Humbolt St. The Rev. Addison Canady, pastor of Maranatha Fellowship, will officiate. Interment: Cedar Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at historic Baker Funeral Home; the family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m.
Kaylien Yvonne "Love" Develrow was born Aug. 31, 1965, to Nita Develrow and Charles Columbus. She was a 1983 graduate of Polytechnic High School and was an employee of the Kimbell Art Museum.
Kaylien loved children, and showed great patience, joy and tenderness in caring for her children and three generations of nieces and nephews. She enjoyed movies, music and cooking.
Survivors: Son, Romone Lucky; daughter, Carrie Develrow; brother, Harold Develrow (Dorothy); sisters, Monette Develrow, Raschal Develrow, Vinita Develrow-Trotter, Kareal Develrow, Lil White, Dearleace Williams and Nannette Epps; stepbrothers, Christopher Columbus and Delvin Develrow; beloved granddaughter, London Sneed; and several generations of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
