A Note for the family of
William "Billy" C. Brantley, Jr.

I cried when I read that Billy had passed away. I am so sad for your loss.

I haven''t seen Billy since highschool but I will tell you that he helped me through a time in my life. A little thing that he used to do each week... he probably never realized how much it meant to me.

Even then I knew that he had a special heart to care about me on a level that he did... without ever trying to use me like so many boys did... he was truly special and I''ve always remembered him. I have thought of him often over the years and he is one person from high school I would have loved to see.

I hope that he had a wonderful life. He was such a good boy and I know must have been a good man.

I will pray for you, his children and his soul ~ with loving memory...

I am shocked to see this. We never know what life will bring and how short our time is here on earth. Enjoy your wings my dear friend.

Billy and his family were close friends of my family.  We have many childhood memories of Billy.  I can remember standing in the hallway at Armstrong Elementary in Conroe, holding his hand before we went into our Kindergarten classes.  A melting plastic sack had burned his skin, and I would rub my thumb across the scar on his hand.  Years after high school he had the birght idea to ask me out, but it was so obvious we were practically brother and sister.  We remained friends forever.  Peace be with you, Billy.  Love, Jessica Lynn (Girsh) Sill
