Hello Everyone!! I agree with Jenette... I think Atlanta would be a nice place to celebrate our 10 years. However, it maybe costly... so with that being said... we will need to put money in a pot to have a nice turn-out, we deserve it. Funding shouldn't be a huge issue... for we are all working professionals, some of us are stay at home moms with "GREAT Hubbys" so hopefully the hubbys will contribute on behalf of the stay at home mommys. I will do some research on places, prices, etc. Those of you in the Atlanta area... please join me in researching venues that will be available during Spring/Summer 2009.

Thanks!!!

What's up Class of 99"?. I also agree with Jeannette and Brandy. We should go all out and have our reunion at a really nice venue. Hopefully my husband will not be on his 6 month deployment at that time so he can meet all you guys. We deserve the best. I will also help research online.

I think having the reunion in Thomaston would be better. A great deal of us no longer live in GA and I think our home town would be a better place to get together. I personally haven't been to Thomaston since graduation, and I would much rather see all my old friends at a venue that is somewhat familiar with us all that is loaded with memories. I would suggest having it in the ULHS commons area with catering. It doesn't really have to be fancy. It's just a time in which we can all get together, reminisce, have fun and catch up.

I think I have to agree with Michael. I know that Atlanta has a wealth of places that would be very nice, but I don't see the significance in having a Highschool reunion in a place that has no ties to the class of 99.

Tyla and I discussed what we could do for those we lost over the years. Could we get the most recent photo of each and maybe find a book for each photo? We could all sign the pages and each book could be given to the parents. This would be a nice reminder to the parents that they surely aren't forgotten! Just a thought.

Although I won't be attending the reunion, I think Addie and Tyla's idea is wonderful. Those attending the reunion should definately do something like that. I know Mrs. Craft, Mrs Daniels, the Walkers, and the Waldens would love to have something like that. Great idea guys.

BTW add me to your myspace pages, if you have them.

Great idea Addie & Tyla. Also I wanted to comment on the idea of having the reunion in Atlanta. Well I think it should be in Thomaston just because that is where we went to school. But if most of our out of town class mates will be here the whole weekend maybe those of us who want could make plans for dinner and after hour in Atlanta the day before or after the reunion. Just an idea. And Happy New Years to you all.

I also think that the reunion should be in Upson Co. There's no place like home! NEVER forget that!
