
Michael J. Boehler, 68, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday morning, May 16, 2017, at his home.
He was born Jan. 4, 1949, in Tiffin, to Edward and Pauline (Eberly) Boehler. He married Deborah J. Baker May 9, 1970.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah; six sons, Christopher (Beth) Boehler of Tiffin, Patrick (Bethany) Boehler of Alvada, Mark (Ashley) Boehler of Findlay, Robert Boehler of Palm Springs, California, and Kevin (Christie) Boehler and Joe Boehler, both of Tiffin; three daughters, Candace (Jeff) Wright and Brenda Boehler, both of Tiffin, and Monica Boehler of Findlay; two brothers, Timothy (Vicky) Boehler and John Boehler, both of Tiffin; five sisters, Dianne (James) White of Tennessee, and Mary (Stephen) Roessner, Rosalie (Jerrold) O’Neil, Teresa (Herb) Faber and Charlotte (Kevin) Pritts, all of Tiffin; 18 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Carol Woodward and Barbara Schindler.
Michael graduated from Tiffin Calvert High School in 1967 and served in the U.S. Army Oct. 30, 1967, to Oct. 29, 1970. He worked at American Standard for more than 30 years and was also a janitor at Calvert High School. He enjoyed woodworking, remodeling, traveling, camping and vacationing, was a Notre Dame, Cleveland Browns and Calvert High School football fan and coached his sons’ football teams and football at St. Mary, East Junior High and little league for many years. Michael was a supporter of Right to Life and Heartbeat.
His Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2017, at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
