Gwendolyn Brodman (Achen)

Gwendolyn M. Achen, 73 of Tiffin, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022 at Bellevue Care Center, Bellevue, Ohio.

She was born July 3rd, 1949, in Tiffin to Leonard and Elizabeth (Fabian) Brodman.  She was raised on the family farm and graduated from Calvert High School in 1967. She married Francis M. Achen on July 18, 1981 and they later divorced.

She is survived by her children, Brian (Michele) Achen of Ellabell, GA, Lisa (Jim) Tetzlaff of Hartford, SD, Michelle (Tyler) Gurney of Yankton, SD, and Christopher (Kylee) Achen of Harrisburg, SD; brothers Frank (Laura) Brodman of Republic, Phillip (Heidi) Brodman and Tom (Nancy) Brodman both of Tiffin, Mike (Heide) Brodman of Republic; sisters, Fran (Steve) Genet of Tiffin, Linda (Greg) Valko of Bellevue, Patti (Todd) Wigton of Amherst, Susan (Matt) Scholl of Tiffin, Barbara (Leon) Weinandy of Alvada, and Ellen (Steve) Nedlik of Mentor; brother-in-law, Dave Fisher of Sandusky; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Baby Boy Achen; brothers, Stephen Brodman and Richard Brodman; sister, Janet Fisher; and two grandsons, Chase Gurney and Talyon Gurney.

Gwen had a great love for her family.  She loved attending events for her kids as well as her nieces and nephews when she could go.  She also had a love for music and was very involved in either the choir or playing the piano/organ when attending church.  She was a devout Catholic and faith was very important to her.

Gerard Pahl

Gwen was always a fun classmate.  It was good to see her at reunions.  I am not sure exactly how, but evidently her family and the Pahls were somehow related as she always called me "cousin."  My condolences go out to her family.  Jerry Pahl

Susan Fleck (Wagner)

So sorry to hear about Gwen...We started off grade school together and continued all the way through high school. She alway had a bubbly and kind attitude. My prayers go out to her family as she will be missed!
