
James Richard Kastner, 63, of Findlay, died at 7:50 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Sept. 9, 1949, in Tiffin, to Paul and Marilyn (Hamilton) Kastner. His mother survives in Tiffin. Jim also is survived by his wife of 42 years, Jean (Karle) Kastner; daughter, Carrie Beltz, and granddaughter, Brittany Beltz, both of Findlay; sister, Carol (Gerald) Coleman; and three brothers, Joseph (Cookie) Kastner and John (Denise) Kastner, both of Tiffin, and Michael (Betsey) Kastner of Toledo. Jim was preceded in death by his son, Andrew James Kastner, and his father, Paul. He was a 1967 graduate of Calvert High School and earned his bachelor of science degree in business management from Tiffin University in 1971. He was human resources and environmental and safety manager for Dana Corporation, Upper Sandusky, for more than 30 years. Jim was an avid golfer and played with the Findlay Industries golf league for many years. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Findlay. His Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, downtown Findlay, with Fr. Chris Bazar celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery, Findlay. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Ave., Findlay, OH 45840, (419) 422-2626, with a rosary at 7:45 p.m. Memorials may be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice, Cancer Patient Services, or St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church.
