I ran my fingers over his name on the Vietnam Wall in Washington a few years ago and suddenly had a very clear memory of him laughing in the hallway with Jim Lutz and Robert Herring.
Rest in Peace, Rick. You are a hero. I remember the 8th grade St. Mary's vs St. Joe's basketball game. You were also a heart throb w/the St. Mary's girls.
I remember a little play Rick and I and someone else whom I can't remember who it was, put on at St. Mary's and Rick was the patient I was the doctor. I pretended I was pulling some objects from his mouth and as I recall we got a few laughs from the group that was their. Rick was a special guy and I miss him dearly. Every time I'm in town I always visit his grave and it always brings tears during my visit, rest in peace dear friend.
