Dan Minns was one of the brightest students I knew at Heideleberg. He participated in the Washington D.C. Semester program. He was my roomate for a year in college. I traveled to his home. He was a farmboy who grow up on a dairy farm in upstate New York State. I remember they had over 25 farm cats chasing mice in their barn. As I was a New York City boy this was a big change to visit a farm.
I did not see much of Dan after college because of working overseas but he went on to teach political science as a professor at American University. He will always be remembered by me as one of my closest friends at Heidleberg. He realized that I had a learn disablity (dislexia) because his girl friend worked closley with students with this same problem.
