Mary was one of my best friends in high school.  From the days of Bad Bushong's Algebra class when he named us Squirrely Fore, Sally Horse, and Dog Anderson, to the 4-hour long business block, we were partners in crime.  Once, before the age of 18, we donned eyeglasses and makeup to enter the Westwood Theater to see the x-rated movie, Vixen.  Low and behold, in the next row down sat Mrs. Flanner, Spanish teacher.  Somehow we got away with it.  Mary took shorthand faster than most people could speak.  I have so many wonderful memories of this wonderful woman that it breaks my heart she is gone.

I, too, Sally, remember her fondly.  I loved our drives in her old Corvair convertible with the top down.  Jim Brenizer, Holland, OH
