Patricia Clinger Obituary

Patricia “Patti” Kay Clinger, 72, of Port Clinton, OH passed away unexpectedly Thursday, November 28, 2024 at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, OH. She was born on March 9, 1952 in Toledo, OH to William and Virginia Marie (Przybylski) Bodinus, Jr. Patti graduated in 1970 from Start High School in Toledo. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and minor in Sociology from Mary Mense College. She received a diploma of nursing from Mercy School of Nursing. She also completed graduate work in Personnel Administration. Patti was a nursing instructor at St. Vincent Medical Center and Chief instructor at Owen's Community College, both in Toledo. Patti then worked as a nurse most recently at Davis Besse Nuclear Power Plant, Oak Harbor.

Patti was an animal lover and enjoyed horse riding. She helped and donated her time and financial support to many animal rescues including Rainbow Connections Animal Foundation, Seneca County Humane Society, and Wayne County, Michigan Humane Society. Patti was an extremely intelligent person, who was very giving and generous to others. Her kindness will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Patti is survived by her close friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Patti will be cremated under the direct care of the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Private services to celebrate her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Patti may be given to Rainbow Connections Animal Foundation, Seneca County Humane Society, or Wayne County, Michigan Humane Society.
