Jeff and I grew up about 6 houses apart in what we used to call "The Old West End" of Toledo (Manhattan/Cherry Street area). We attended Cherry School, along with Phil Arvanitis, John Brock, Vicki Minnick, and Cheryl Schaefer. I don't remember Jeff from Start; but I must say he also was GONE TOO SOON....
From the Toledo Blade: Jeffery Dale Culver, 42,or Toledo, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 27,2005, at St. Anne's Hospital. He recently retired from Yarder Manufacturing after 15 years of service. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Gloria Culver. He is suvived by his sons, Jason and Andy Culver; brother, James E. Merickel; sister, Sally Merickel Shade; and nephews, Jamie Merickel, and Tony, Pete, and John Arvanitis. Family and friends are invited to visit from 4-8 PM Sunday in Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Ave. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Diabetes Association. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
