After many years, I reconnected with Suzy Q,, (as she liked to be called), on Facebook. At that time, she said she thought I had died years before. I assured her I was the real deal, and very much alive. She already knew she had terminal cancer, and she was facing it realistically, but without self pity or complaint. She was in hospice for what seemed like a long time. When she finally went home, I thought she had won her battle, but it was not to be. I still see her as she was at Bowsher, with that beautiful dimpled smile. After years of suffering, she is finally at peace.
