Roger and I attended the same church and were on the basketball team together (with Tim Duffey and Tom Steusloff). One night we were soundly beaten by Barry Badertscher's team (which included 3 guys 6' 5"). The final score was 52 to 2! Roger and I had the distinction of sharing high scoring for our team. That's right, one point a piece. Roger had a great sense of humor and was a real gentleman and a good friend.
Roger and I literally grew up together. We lived just 3 doors apart on Brighton. I'd known him since I was 5 years old - he was like a brother to me. Roger and I lost touch over the years, but when my Father passed away in 1995, Roger came to the showing. I was so touched. It was the first I had seen him in years.
My thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Sally, and Roger's family. Roger's passing was a tremendous loss. He was a great guy and wonderful person.
