Bill Bunting, what a guy. There can not be one member of our class that does not remember Bill. He was always so full of fun and laughter, he never seem to be down. Of all the people I knew at Bowsher, Bill could make any time an absolute blast. His picture in the yearbook was the real deal, he wasn't posing that was his look.  He was a great husband and father and enjoyed his life and family to the fullest. Sadly we didn't see much of each other as the many years rolled by. I'll always cherish having called him a good friend, even when I remember we had to push his car to get it started in the worst weather imaginable, we always laughed and loved it. For me he was what fun in school was about. I hope we all can remember to laugh and carry his memory for the rest of our days.

I too have vivid, positive memories of Bill. We played all types of sports together at the South Side Y (Sadly torn down now). Bill was an excellent athlete, after high school,  bowling  a pretty good ball.

I shared many margaritas with Bill at Loma Lindas over the past few years. He always was the first one to say hello. He was just plain a really great guy. I went to his memorial service and it was just packed with people. It was a true tribute to a great guy.

Add me to those who remember Bill as a great guy. I knew him since grade school. He was out of my league in that he was much more outgoing, popular, and just generally "cool"; but it never went to his head. I never saw him pick on, put down, or make fun of anyone. One thing that has not been mentioned is that Bill was born with a club foot. It never affected his ability to play sports, at which he excelled. I was absolutely stunned to hear of his passing. May he rest in eternal peace.

I also remember Bill Bunting fondly. We grew up about a block from each other. He was an excellent athelete and an all around good guy. He was fun to be with - whether playing sports or hoisting a beer. I was really saddened to hear of his passing. I wanted to see him at the reunion and feel cheated that I won't be able to see him again.

Billy B, and his wife Cathy of 49 years, have been friends since graduation.  He never stopped being the Billy we all knew and loved.  My husband and I saw he and Cathy in Florida just 2 weeks before he died and he was still the same smiling Bill.  I asked if I could hug him and he said "Yeah, and you can have a kiss too!"  Like I said, never changed!  I will miss him forever.
