Jimmy Mauntler (we called him Jimmy as kids), Bob Klippstein and I spent many a day at the Beverly playground where Jim could beat all comers at horseshoes or checkers. He became a successful sales rep in the insurance industry. Jim was also an excellent golfer. He had a great sense of humor and zest for life. He was a good husband and father and friend. I'll miss him.
When I went off to a camp in the summer of 1964, I had been "dating" a real cutie from Devilbiss. When I got back home, she was dating Jim. Her Dad was a golfer at Heatherdowns CC and played with Jim on occasion. Jim and Barb went to T.U. together. She married him, brought children into the world with him, loved him deeply, and cared for him in his last months. Jim was always a straight shooter and could make friends with anyone. He will be sorely missed at the Reunion and remembered forever.
