John Passolt

I was drafted into the Army one year after graduation (1966). I took basic training at Fort Benning Georiga, came home on leave, and was sent to the Panama Canal Zone for "OJT", on the job training in the signal corps. I arrived on January 7, 1967, and on Easter Sunday I was sent to Montevideo Uruguay and our unit worked with white house communications in support of President Johnson's trip to the Interamerican Conference at Punte del Este Uruguay.
