Roy Wayne Thorson, 58, of Big Cove died Wednesday, December 10, 2008, after a long fight with pancreatic cancer.
Survivors include wife, Pamela Thorson; sons, Stewart Thorson and wife Stephanie and Blake Thorson, all of Big Cove; sister, Linda Sanders of Athens; and granddaughters, Abigail Marie Thorson and Ellett Katherine Thorson of Big Cove.  Mr. Thorson was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Olivia Garner Thorson.  Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Dennis McAnally officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
