Michael Allen Smith of the Liberty Hill Community passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 7, 1949 and was 64 years old. He was a retired police officer in Maury County, and loved his family. He was preceded in death by his, father, Carlos Allen Smith and a sister Teresa Lane. He is survived by his, Wife, Joy Sanderson Smith of the Liberty Hill Community; Son, Rodney Allen (Nina) Smith of the Liberty Hill Community; Granddaughter, Haley Lynn Smith; Mother, Evelyn Smith of New Market Alabama; Step-daughter, Anna Catherine Smith of Delrose; Niece, Kelley Sivley of New Market, Alabama. Visitation will be on Monday, June 2nd from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, June 3rd at 11:00am in the Chapel of Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home. Burial will be in Liberty Hill Cemetery.
