65^th Reunion

Friday October 3, 2025                  5:30 pm              Gary Gilbert’s Farm

A very casual country evening is planned with a buffet style BBQ meal with all the trimmings and a COMPLIMENTARY BAR. The farm has been the Friday evening site of several previous class reunions and many of you know how to get there. If you don’t, the farm address is 4341 SE US Hwy 40 and is very close to town. The cost will be $25 per person, same as last time. So, plan to be there, wear your country garb, comfy clothes, or whatever you choose and plan to enjoy a special evening with your friends and classmates of 65 years ago. Who knows, there may be an added surprise.

Saturday October 4, 2025              10:00 am            THS Cafeteria

Plans are underway for a Saturday morning get-together in the cafeteria for coffee, juice, and rolls. Hopes are that Joan Barker, Executive Director of the THS Historical Society or a current Board representative could bring us up to date on recent projects they have been completed and pending new projects. They are a very active group and continue to master significant restorations of our 95 year old school. THS and the 501 school district are very lucky to have such a passionate and dedicated group to preserve our THS history.

Saturday October 4, 2025              6:00 pm              Topeka Country Club

Arrive at 6:00 pm for a social hour. A COMPLIMENTARY BAR is included throughout the evening. Starting at 7:00 pm the TCC Chef and his team will serve a sit down dinner with salad and featuring a Honey Pecan Chicken dinner along with a dessert. A vegetarian plate is available for those who prefer that option.  Plans are currently underway for a very relaxed and memorable evening together. The dress will be today’s business casual which means even jeans are fine. The cost will be $60 per person, $10 less than last time. We really hope you can join us.

The out- of- towners have their choice of any hotel in town via the internet. There is a new Spring Hill Suites by Marriott at 2745 SW Fairlawn Road. It is located within the Wheatfield Village which is a totally new $100,000,000 development at 29^th and Fairlawn Road. There is a Hilton Garden Inn about eight years old west of Wanamaker at 1351 SW Arvonia Place. There is also the Cyrus Boutique Hotel at 920 Kansas Ave that is about 7 years old.  These are just some of the newer ones. Many of you have credit card or club points that will benefit you in one hotel or another and of course there is always the SENIOR discount.

A photographer will be available both evenings taking candid party pics. They will be made available later on our class website.

 A registration form is included. Please fill out your registration form and mail it with your check to the address on the form. IT WOULD HELP US GREATLY WITH BUDGETING AND PLANNING IF YOU COULD GET YOUR RESERVATIONS TO US ASAP. We will be happy to return your money if you are unable to attend.

Your committee was challenged with the question of, do we schedule and plan a 65^th reunion for some of the obvious reasons? The decision was to go for it and we are. We hope each of you accept our attitude and want to do the same, GO FOR IT!!!  We are looking forward to seeing each and every one of you at our THS 65^th reunion here at home in Topeka. All facilities are handicap accessible including an elevator at TCC.
