Anne P. Garlinghouse

Classmate Anne Garlinghouse passed September 14, 2019 in Vancouver Washington.  After THS she earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish, 1965 and a master’s degree in speech and communications, 1978 from KU.  In 1985 she received her law degree from Washburn.  Over the years she was an office manager,  opened and ran a yoga and new age healing center in Lawrence. She sold real estate in Lawrence and Vancouver.  Her obituary tells that she was most proud of the law practice that she co-founded in Topeka in the mid 1980, where she practiced family law and helped indigent clients fight against big companies.

Anne is survived by her son Todd Reamon, of Point Richmond, California, her son Derek Reamon and his wife Katy in Boulder, Colorado.  She has four grandchildren.  No public services are planned at this time.  In lieu of flowers she encourages you to remember her in a way that honers her life, a walk in nature, a glass of wine and great food, wear purple (her favorite color) or adopt a rescue animal. (See a picture and read her entire obituary in Lawrence Journal-World on Sep. 18, 2019)
