Classmate Thomas (Tom) Gooch's passing was reported in cjoline. He died August 11th at stormont Vail . He had a degree in Annimal Husbandry from Kansas State and served for 38 yeras as a gomputer programmer for the Federal Government. He is survived by wife Judy of 51 years, 3 daughters and 3 grandsons. His celebration of life will be at 11.00 am Saturday at Kevin Brennan Family Home, 2801 SW Urish Rd, Topeka. I am so saddened to hear of Tom's passing. He was my closest friend at Capper JH, Topeka High and first couple of years at Washburn U. before he went to KS.
I lived with his mother and sister my last semester at Washburn after my mother moved to Oregon. Mother, brother Brian and I attended Tom and Judy's wedding in August 1966 before driving off to Oregon. Remember his little car on the church steps (carried up there by his "friends") as he and Judy ran past it and drove off in his mother's car?
I wrote to Tom a few times during my career in the USAF, but never knew if I got the right address. So sorry to have not heard from him!
