Classmate, Lawrence (Larry) Hahn passed away December 6, 2014 while living in Cole Camp, MO. Born in Tecoma, WA but raised in Topeka he is survived by second wife Kathy, three children, Kathy's three children plus grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his first wife Kate Hahn and his parents. Classmate Jim Corrick spotted the notice in the KC newspaper and sent on to us.

OMG! Larry was one of my best friends at THS and Washburn and through the years. I lost track of him a few years ago. And now, to hear of his passing! I am saddened!! RIP, Friend. We're losing too many classmates this year!!

Larry was a friend of mine from junior high at Boswell through college at Washburn. He was a wonderful person and his first wife, Katy Alderson Hahn, was my sorority sister. She had MS most of their married lives and Larry was a WONDERFUL caregiver to her. He certainly earned a place in heaven for his total commitment to caring for her. After her death he remarried and moved to rural Cole Camp, MO. Actually, Katy and Larry had two children, Peter and Amy.. Peter and his wife have two children and Amy has none. I have tried numerous times to locate him throughout the years, thinking he was near Springfield, but now I see that he was closer to Lake of the Ozarks. I once even talked to a Peter Hahn in the Kansas City area and was sure I had finally found him, but when that man returned my call, I had stuck out once again. I'm so sorry that I wasn't able to keep in contact with him. I do remember that at the last reunion he attended he had bought a Corvette. Rest in Peace dear Larry and say "Hi" to Katy for me.

Larry was a caring and smiling guy at THS and Washburn. I agree with Frank, we are losing a lot of classmates, so, lets all live with love and caring in our actions and hearts. We probably only have 25-30 years left. ENJOY!!!!!
