The Topeka Capitol-Journal announced the passing of THS Classmate Duane Dodge at age 42, April 9, 1985, in a Canarillo, CA, hospital of cancer. Duane was a graduate of THS and Washburn University. At the time of his death he was survived by wife Judy and 3 children. Duane is inturned in Westlawn Memorial Gardens.

Roger O. Williams
Duane graduated from Washburn with a degree in physics. He went to work for the department of the Navy doing weapons testing in California. Duane and I grew up about a block apart and he took me to THS in his 1948 Chevrolet until I moved away. His father informed me that he had died of cancer about 1985 after a very short illness. He was a quiet person but he sure liked to laugh. He looked me up around 1981 when I was doing research at the VA in Topeka.
