Classmate Benny Erwin died Wednesday, June 27 at the Dwight D. Eisenhower VAMC.  Born January 6, 1943 in Topeka, the son of Roland Bruce and Anna Erwin. After graduating from THS he served two years in the US Army.  He worked for U.S.D. #501 for 10 years before being certified by Capital City Barber College followed by years of a barber career. He married Linda L. Barnett on May 7, 1965 and later divorced.  Ben is survived by daughter Shelly R (Tony) Roe of Lawrence and two grandchildren. Services scheduled for 7:00 PM, Friday, June 29, 2018 at Barnett Family Funeral Home, Oskaloosa (see their wed site for complete obit and recent picture). Internment to be at a later date.  Memorials to D. D. Eisenhower VAMC in care of funeral home.
