January 1st 2013 we learned of the passing of classmate Clayton Stewart from a massive heart attack earlier in December. He is survived by his wife Pat Ryden Stewart (class of 1962).
I met Clayton at Crane Jr. High when I moved to Topeka. I did not know him well. But, that is to my misfortune. Clayton was always cheerful. I am priviledged to have know him.
I too met Clayton as a student at Crane Jr High. I had a few classes with him, I remember him as a very nice, polite & bright student. I also remember him 'challenging' our English teacher, we all enjoyed watching that , & I would snicker while sitting in my seat wishing I had the nerve to do the same. He is gone as they say " way too soon".
