Mike was a great friend! He was tragically killed in a car accident in 1959 --- waaaay to young! My dad and I were returning from Kansas City and saw flashing lights over on 40 Highway. Next morning Mike's mother called and told me he had been killed in an accident on....Highway 40...the night before. I miss Mike and think of him often.
I, actually, learned how to dive in Mike's car. It was fun driving around the "Potwin circles"!
