Perry King, Let’s not forget about the rabbit, Member of the THS men’s Cross Country team who placed 2nd in the state of Kansas in 1980.  Perry’s nick name was the Rabbit; He would start the race in a full sprint, even though it was a two mile race, and then get passed by many. Perry was the step brother of David Peesly. Perry was attending KSU; he wanted to be an FBI agent.  In Perry’s freshmen year he was driving  his mustang, that we all help him build in auto shop The mustang spun out of control and Perry was killed, I don’t remember what month he passed I just remember talking with David about it. It happened during the winter or 81/82. RIP my friends Perry and David…

Perry and I were good friends in junior high and high school.  I went to a winter dance with him as friends, and we had a great time.  I think it was our sophomore year.  He was always very kind and a true gentleman around me.  He ran cross country with Jule and I and we could make him blush just by talking to him.  He could be so shy.  He had the biggest heart in the world and loved to give and make presents for people.  I wanted more than anything for him to find the love of his life and live happily ever after.  I am sorry he didn't get that opportunity.
