Career, Life Experiences:
Family: Four Children, Three Grandchildren and four sisters. All four of my children are clean living adults with good jobs - Thank God. My oldest Grandchild attends K.U. to become a Pharmacist. Another attends HPHS and my youngest is in Jr. High.
I left HPHS, but came back and finished in 1961. I worked as a waiter and bartender at Blue Ridge Country Club in K.C. Mo. I joined the Army and served from 1963 to 1966 and was stationed in Hawaii for 4 1/2 years. I then served in Viet Nam until my honorable discharge at the rank of SP-5/Sgt. During my tour I saw a lot of action as my tank was blown up 3 different times. I wasn't injured and just laughed and called myself lucky, but I now know God was watching over me. War is really Hell. After the army, I returned to Topeka and married and then divorced. I ran a small refuse company for 20 years and owned 6 properties. I worked for Goodyear for 37 years. Through the years I went through some tough times, but in 1997 I became a born again christian. I retired in 2004 and now spend a portion of each day studying the Bible and thanking God for being better to me than I was to myself. I would not change the journey I've taken, but I would not want to go through it again. Also, I HAVE BECOME ADDICTED TO PEACE!! Glory to God Almighty!!
